Screen Solutions for Data Centre Construction & Commissioning
Westgate Global offer a range of temporary screening and permanent partitioning systems suited to the construction, extension and refurbishment of data centres. Our solutions are ideal for mission critical projects delivering applications including weather protection, temperature control and dust spread prevention. Weathering screens allow internal fit out to begin when cladding is not complete and to maintain ambient temperature for concrete pours and curing. Dust control partitions during phased handovers enable early client access to clean rooms, division between fit out and construction for security and confidentiality, and temporary hot and cold aisle containment. Our in-house design, structural and project management team work with you to ensure a seamless operation and quick turnaround.
Flexiscreen is a temporary screen often used during construction, refurbishment or maintenance works in live environments. Westgate Global have engineered various structurally compliant, fire rated solutions for data centres, using this renowned screening solution…

FAQs
How does the Flexiscreen aisle containment system differ to alternative methods?
Most traditional methods involve a makeshift approach involving channel and plastic panels. Our panels are made of reinforced PVC material that will not scratch or damage floors and other assets. This system is designed to require no drilling or fixing into the floor or ceiling, ensuring no snagging works are needed – accelerating the programme. The system is also extremely durable and can be reused over 20 times.
Can this system help deliver a successful commissioning phase?
Our PVC coated fabric panel system can accelerate the commissioning phase programme due to its unique design and install/demount methods…
- Panels, opening and vents pre-made off site – up to 4 times quicker to install (compared to traditional methods)
- No damage to building – no fixing to floor or ceiling required
- No maintenance required – no patching between tests
- Durable and reusable – can be reused over 20 times
The system is repeatable and consistent across multiple phases and projects, so you get the same solution every time for consistent data, as compared to traditional methods where installations and data may vary.
Is the system sustainable?
The Flexiscreen Aisle Containment system is reusable and relocatable across the same or different projects. It can also be altered to suit different sizes if required to ensure ongoing use. Traditionally, each data hall has its own set of plastic board products, which are not reusable and therefore disposed of. Our system can be reused 6 times on one project before being moved to the next project for another 6 uses. This means that if the Flexiscreen panels were disposed at the end of the 2nd project, in total only 1/12 of the waste would be produced compared to traditional methods.
Temporary weather protection and temperature control screen
Temporary external weathering screen to enable early works
Used to protect a partially clad building from the weather, this screen enables internal works to commence prior to cladding. Installed quickly to keep critical building construction projects on time. The screen maintains ambient temperatures for concrete pours in all weathers and climates, with an operating temperature of -40°C.

Key benefits
- Accelerated Construction Timelines: Enables internal works to begin before external cladding is complete, keeping critical projects on schedule.
- Reliable Climate Control: Maintains ambient temperatures as low as -40°C, ensuring optimal conditions for processes like concrete pouring and curing, regardless of weather conditions.
- Exceptional Weather Resistance: Engineered with reinforced materials and wind-load straps to withstand severe weather, providing a 99% weather- and dust-tight seal for superior environmental control.
- Flexible Installation: Prefabricated panels are quick to install, adaptable to various heights and widths, and can be mounted and demounted from inside the structure without disrupting cladding installation.
- Reusable and Sustainable: Modular design allows for easy relocation across phases and sites, reducing waste and aligning with sustainable construction practices.
- Enhanced Design Versatility: Creates a temporary “room within a room” by spanning structural portals without intermediate supports, offering contractors and architects a clean, efficient solution.
- Improved Quality Assurance: Protects interiors from weather and environmental conditions, ensuring construction quality standards—like slab pours to the correct grade—are consistently met.
FAQs
How is Flexiscreen installed for weather protection?
Flexiscreen is installed internally, attached to the existing deck before the mesh and concrete are poured, and secured to the main portal. This internal installation allows external cladding to proceed simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
How does Flexiscreen compare to traditional weatherproofing methods?
Flexiscreen offers a 99% dust and weather-tight seal, surpassing traditional scaffold sheeting, which typically provides an 80% seal and is more vulnerable to wind and air pressure damage. Its design includes wind load straps that keep the screen taut, maintaining its integrity even when angled or accommodating protrusions. This results in enhanced containment, safety, and durability throughout the project.
Why choose Flexiscreen?
Flexiscreen streamlines construction processes and supports project efficiency through:
- Custom engineering – tailored structural calculations for wind loading and air pressures
- Superior sealing – provides a 99% weather-tight seal
- Internal fitting – allows complete facade installation before screen removal
- Adaptability – neatly fits around protrusions to maintain the seal
- Space efficiency – eliminates the need for scaffolding by hanging from the existing deck
- Safety – constructed from durable, fire-rated material.

FAQs
How is Flexiscreen installed?
Flexiscreen is engineered for rapid and clean installation, minimising disruption to ongoing operations. The process involves suspending reinforced, fire-rated PVC panels from the existing building structure using steelwork clips and s-hooks. These panels are then joined together using a unique v-overlap system, ensuring a dust-tight seal. The installation is tailored to the specific height and width of the building, accommodating various structural dimensions.
Does it fit the shape of the building?
Flexiscreen is custom-made to conform to the specific contours and features of any building. Its design allows it to accommodate structural elements such as ducts, pipes, and steelwork, ensuring a tight seal around these components. This adaptability makes it suitable for buildings of varying shapes and sizes, providing effective dust containment and environmental control.
Can it be demounted and reused across phases?
One of the key advantages of Flexiscreen is its reusability. During phased construction or refurbishment projects, Flexiscreen can be demounted, moved, reconfigured, and extended as required. This flexibility not only supports efficient project progression but also contributes to cost savings and sustainability by reducing the need for single-use materials.
