Sector: Office & Retail
Company: John Paul Construction
Location: Dublin
Overview: Welfare rooms and storage facilities
Solution: Hoardfast uPVC

John Paul Construction are leading international specialists in construction, infrastructure, fit-out and asset management. They were undertaking a student accommodation project in Aungier Street, Dublin 2, and needed to provide internal welfare facilities for approximately 200 workers, as well as create storage areas for materials on site.
The required facilities included a canteen/kitchen, drying room and additional subcontractor facilities, which would be installed at ground floor level.
Because the project was inside a city centre multistorey site, with minimal space, it was essential that the solution could accommodate this and was quick and easy to install.

Westgate Global’s Hoardfast panels were the ideal solution for a variety of reasons. Firstly, there’s no third party contractor required to install the panels because the installation process is simple and straightforward. Secondly, the component sizes are all manageable and easily carried through the building apertures, even in small spaces. And lastly, they are cost effective, made from recycled plastics and sustainable. uPVC panels can be returned to Westgate Global after use to be recycled as part of our ongoing circular economy initiative.
This lightweight push fit Hoardfast system is also up to 30% cheaper than creating a timber and plasterboard stud wall. Westgate Global provided 156 linear metres of 4.8m tall panels that fit floor-to ceiling for John Paul Construction’s project. Also provided were five single and one double doors. The hoarding for this particular project will be in use for approximately 18 months and can be easily taken down and recycled when it is no longer needed.
