Busy university campus, and a complex refurbishment programme
Westgate Global partnered with Neilcott Construction Ltd to provide an effective solution for managing fire safety, noise, and dust control during a multi-phase renovation project at Kingston University. The project required a modular system that could be easily relocated as different phases of construction progressed, ensuring minimal disruption to students, staff, and the public.
The university remained operational throughout the renovation, making it essential to implement robust fire and sound protection to maintain a safe and productive environment. A significant amount of dust was generated from the ongoing construction activities, which required an efficient containment solution. As the project was executed in multiple phases, temporary barriers needed to be modular and easily repositioned as work progressed.

Westgate Global supplied two solutions from our Hoardfast range to Neilcott Construction Ltd. Hoardfast Firescreen provided critical fire-rated panels, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and offering peace of mind to all university occupants. Hoardfast Soundscreen effectively minimised noise pollution from construction work, helping to maintain a suitable academic environment. Both solutions helped contain dust and debris, ensuring cleanliness and safety across the university premises. The lightweight, modular nature of Hoardfast enabled quick reconfiguration as the renovation progressed through different phases, reducing downtime and labour costs.
