Westgate Global worked with a data centre partner, to create temporary aisle emulation for heat load testing. The client valued the system and its structural integrity, as in the past they had issues with temporary infills collapsing, meaning tests would have to be restarted. Traditional temporary methods were also time-consuming with the level of maintenance and patching required.
Westgate Global’s temporary infill containment solution, using their renowned durable reinforced pvc coated fabric material, is pre-manufactured, quicker to install, does not damage floors or ceilings, and can be reused multiple times. Due to the soft material construction it means panels can be folded onto pallets for storage, and transported through the data halls with no risk of scratching. This particular project saw the temporary containment Flexiscreen removed and relocated for use, from Germany to Spain!
32 aisles were created, incorporating zip doors, openings for heater access and openings for pressure relief. Branding was also applied to both sides of each aisle (removed from images for confidentiality). The client found a professional-looking system, that is far more reliable than correx.
