Anchorwall welding enclosure for Health and Safety compliance at Eaton MEDC
Company: Eaton MEDC
Location: Sutton-In-Ashfield
Overview: Welding enclosure created with Anchorwall.
Solution: Anchorwall
Eaton MEDC required a dedicated welding enclosure within their facility to meet stringent Health and Safety requirements. The existing open-plan layout provided no defined area for welding activity, presenting both safety and operational concerns. The enclosure needed to be structurally secure, visually accessible, and compliant with internal safety standards.
Westgate Global supplied and installed a custom Anchorwall system to create a defined, part-height welding enclosure. The solution used single skin Anchorwall panels, selected for their durability and ease of installation in an active production environment.
The enclosure measured 43 linear metres by 15.7 linear metres and was designed to be secured to the floor, providing a stable and fixed structure. Key features included:
- Vision panels throughout for clear visibility and supervision of welding operations
- Standard ‘H’ strips to securely join panels with a clean, modular finish
- Intermediate mullions to provide support and maintain structural integrity
- Channel top capping to ensure rigidity and deliver a neat, uniform appearance across the top of the enclosure
The Anchorwall enclosure provided Eaton MEDC with a safe, designated space for welding activities, supporting compliance with Health and Safety regulations while minimising disruption to the surrounding workspace. The installation combined robustness with functionality, offering both protection and visibility – crucial for operations requiring oversight.
With Anchorwall’s modularity and clean aesthetic, the enclosure blends seamlessly into the wider facility, delivering a professional and compliant solution tailored to the client’s needs.
