Internal and external hoarding enhances customer experience during live renovation project
One New Change is a major development in the heart of London, with 560,000 square feet of shops, restaurants, leisure and office space, and direct views of St Paul’s Cathedral. In an environment that prides itself on being a premium destination, the impact of construction works on visitors must be minimised. When Parkeray Interiors undertook a renovation of the building’s main entrance, they turned to Westgate Global for professional hoarding to keep the works contained, secure, and smartly presented.
As a leading office and commercial fit-out and refurbishment contractor, Parkeray works collaboratively with a carefully selected supply chain to deliver project goals on time and to specification. Their long-standing relationship with Westgate Global meant a single trusted supplier could secure and protect the site both inside and out.
External hoarding
With the main revolving doors undergoing maintenance, Parkeray needed to protect the site from unauthorised access and weather-related damage. Hoardfence external hoarding was installed around the revolving entrance doors, providing a free-standing solution that required no digging or permanent fixings. The entrance sits in a busy area with high pedestrian traffic, so Hoardfence’s wind- and crowd-rated credentials were vital to keeping the public safe.

Internal hoarding
Inside the building, Hoardfast PVC panels were installed floor-to-ceiling around the reception foyer, creating a dust-tight enclosure around the entrance door so that dust and debris from the works was fully contained. The enclosure also reduced temperature loss from the open works, keeping the foyer comfortable and presentable for visitors, essential where customer experience is paramount.
