Combined Hoardfast and Flexiwall system offers floor to ceiling protection
Leading food production company Sweetdreams Confectionery Ltd required a robust, hygienic solution to clearly separate its warehouse from its production lines. The tall warehouse structure presented additional complexity, as the partition needed to ensure complete coverage from floor to ceiling, while the project scope also included the installation of cleanrooms to support operational efficiency.
To achieve this, Sweetdreams sought a reliable partner to deliver a high-quality solution with minimal disruption to their operations. Following a comprehensive survey, Westgate Global proposed a customised approach using a combination of Hoardfast and Flexiwall.
Hoardfast PVC was installed at the lower section of the warehouse up to a height of 2.7m. This lightweight, modular hoarding system is designed to safely segregate operational areas and provide a durable, hygienic barrier essential for maintaining food safety standards.
In line with our structural engineers’ recommendations, a steel structure was installed to support the Hoardfast and provide the stability required for the installation of Flexiwall above. Extending from the top of the Hoardfast panels to the ceiling, Flexiwall is a smart alternative to traditional fixed wall systems, using tensioned fabric to create distinct zones, prevent cross-contamination, manage temperature, and reduce noise.
This combined approach resulted in a seamless, secure full-height partition, ensuring complete segregation between the warehouse and food production areas while complying with hygiene regulations.
