Internal site accommodation and welfare facilities for mac-group

Company: mac-group
Location: Hanover Quay, Dublin 2
Overview: Internal accommodation and welfare facilities
Solution: Hoardfast uPVC
“I would have no hesitation in using Westgate Global again. Hoardfast is fast and efficient to set up and provides a consistent, professional appearance”.
mac-group are specialists in fit out and construction projects, operating across Ireland, the UK and Europe. While working on a sizeable office fit out project in the newly developed 5 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2, internal accommodation and welfare facilities were required for contractors working on-site.
Approximately 160 workers would be using these facilities, so they needed to be robust, yet clean and professional in appearance. Westgate’s temporary modular internal hoarding system, Hoardfast uPVC met these requirements, as well as being quick and easy to install, saving mac-group valuable time on-site.
Using 128m of 2.7m high free-standing Hoardfast uPVC panels, equal supports and 7 doors, mac-group were able to create internal office accommodation including a canteen, drying room, main office, meeting room, subcontractor rooms and a storage room.
By installing vision panels in the hoarding, mac-group were able to retain natural light where possible.
Once the project at 5 Hanover Quay is complete, the hoarding will be demounted and moved to another project, making it more cost effective than drywalling partitions – another benefit of using Hoardfast uPVC.
The system is easily moved and reinstalled for use over multiple or phased projects. It’s also manufactured from up to 85% recycled materials and fully recyclable at the end of its usable life, making for a sustainable, waste-free solution.
