Hoardfast internal hoarding and Hoardfence external hoarding were utilised for site welfare accommodation and to ensure public safety, on a fit out project located adjacent to an operational facility.
The hoarding ensured the highest standards of safety and efficiency, for long-standing customers TSK Group who partner with Westgate Global due to their flexible, durable and quality hoarding, combined with their ability to manage the project seamlessly and provide a consistently reliable service.
The Manchester based project involved significant construction work adjacent to an operational facility, requiring robust solutions for site security, safety, and effective segregation of work areas.
The plan was split into 3 key areas, with differing requirements:
- Create and secure an outdoor compound area to prevent unauthorised access.
Westgate Global supplied TSK Group with Hoardfence, a robust and secure fencing solution ideal for outdoor sites. Hoardfence was chosen for its durability, ease of installation (minimising downtime on site), and the ability to withstand the challenging outdoor environment. It provided a secure perimeter around the construction site, preventing unauthorised access and ensuring the safety of both workers and the public.
- Segregate the live reception and office area from the construction to ensure safety and minimise disruption.
Hoardfast Firescreen was used to divide the construction site from the live working area. This internal, modular, 60-minute fire-rated hoarding system was critical in ensuring that the reception and office areas remained operational and safe from construction activities. The clean white panels were quick-to-install, minimising disruption and provided acoustic benefits to limit noise disturbance. This was also paired by TSK Group with a entrance turnstile to ensure high security and safety of workers.
- Create an enclosed space for site set up and welfare areas
For setting up welfare areas and other on-site facilities, Westgate Global supplied Hoardfast uPVC. Being part of the Hoardfast range it is quick-to-install, however this versatile hoarding system was chosen for its hygienic properties and ease of cleaning – essential for areas where workers would be eating and resting. Hoardfast uPVC enabled TSK Group to deliver a highly sustainable Grade A office refurbishment of an existing building – with major environmental, social and Governance (ESG) focus.
The implementation process was seamless, thanks to the modular nature of Westgate Global’s hoarding systems. Hoardfence and Hoardfast panels are perfectly designed to enable graphics to be applied. TSK Group used their own fitting team to take advantage of this and enhance the experience of both workers and passers-by.
TSK Group, with support from Westgate Global’s installation team, quickly installed Hoardfence, Hoardfast Firescreen, and Hoardfast uPVC systems, ensuring minimal disruption to the ongoing project. TSK Group were able to meet the project’s demands efficiently, while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.
