EcoVadis are the world’s largest and trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, and have a global network of over 100,000 rated companies across 200 sectors.
Offering a universal scorecard and benchmark, the EcoVadis methodology framework assesses companies’ policies and actions as well as their published reporting related to the environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement, taking into account each company’s industry, size and geographic location.
EcoVadis’ rigorous evidence-based sustainability assessments aid companies striving to do better business in terms of their environmental, social and ethical performance, and Westgate Global does just that, with a continuing commitment to improve each of these areas throughout its business operations.
For the third year in a row, Westgate Global have retained Silver medal status. EcoVadis raised the number of points required for each level in 2023; a minimum of 56 points were required in 2022, but this year a minimum of 59 was required to achieve Silver medal status. This puts Westgate Global in the top 25% of all international companies who applied for and passed assessment.
Over recent years, Westgate Global has implemented many initiatives and continues to take steps to reduce its carbon footprint;
- Adopting eco-friendly practices
- Investing in energy-efficient vehicles, lighting and technology
- Sourcing materials from sustainable suppliers
- Monitoring and reducing waste through reducing, reusing , recycling
- Minimising the consumption of raw materials, fuel and energy
With more and more companies now raising questions about their suppliers’ environmental and social performance, the EcoVadis assessment and rating allows Westgate Global to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to aligning our values with that of our customers.
