Principle Purpose of Position:

This position encompasses all parts of the sales process, providing a central internal point of contact for both external account managers and Tier 1 construction customers, collaboratively contributing towards the team targets.

Responsibilities will include taking incoming enquiries via phone, email or website, preparing quotations, following up quotations, responding to customer queries, updating the CRM and conducting tasks on behalf of the two external account managers when they are out on visits.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Take & qualify incoming leads over the telephone, email or website
  • Carry out discovery calls with customers via Microsoft teams or Zoom
  • Understand the needs of the customer & provide a fit for purpose solution
  • Prepare quotations, send or present back to customers
  • Create upsell & cross-sell opportunities with current customers
  • Follow up opportunities & close orders
  • Provide support to external Account Managers as required
  • Ensure the accuracy of information used within the CRM system
  • Handover accurate & detailed information to Operations for won opportunities
  • Respond to customer requests and queries in a timely manner
  • Overall ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales process
  • Post project follow-up calls to ascertain new opportunities

  • Commercially aware with an appetite to maximise profitability on each sale
  • Thorough understanding of the sales drivers, sales cycle & negotiating techniques
  • Fast learner & a passion for sales
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach & ability to close deals
  • Practical mind & attention to detail to understand our products & deliver a realistic solution to the customers with confidence
  • Competence with IT systems
  • Proactive team player
  • Excellent sales skills & a proven track record or working to & achieving KPIs
  • Strong inter-personal skills & the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Intelligent questioning skills to find strategic customer information
  • Excellent telephone manner & strategic sales skills

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience is beneficial
